Firstly, the word Bambara means 'Journey' in my traditional language group, the Jandai language.

My name is Katrina Amon and I am a proud Quandamooka woman from the Noonuccal Tribe. I am from Minjerribah, which you may know it as North Stradbroke Island.

Bambara Prints is something that I've created to share the stories of my land, people and culture. Sharing it through artwork is something that I enjoy and I'm proud of. I hope to bring you on my journey through my Bambara Prints.
